The Process
This is a diligent process and only some will qualify. We take this process very seriously!
Always Believe in Children offers a proven business model that has received national recognition from the National Afterschool Association in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 with eight of our ABC Care centers receiving National Accreditation! We also received national recognition in 2006 and 2008 from the American Camp Association with their Award of Excellence for our Company run Camp, ABC Care Summer Camp at Worthington Valley!
We provide you with everything you need to duplicate an award winning ABC Care Center and Summer Camp. Information is provided through trainings, hands-on assistance and step by step manuals, as well as ongoing support and refresher trainings as needed. Our program focuses on how to hire and train nurturing teachers who encourage successful life skills such as problem solving, table manners, conflict resolution, good sportsmanship and many other important social skills.
Our qualified and highly experienced Executive Team will be available to you every step of the way. Our Owner and President who founded ABC Care in 1989 will provide much of the Operational Support you will receive. We have years of valuable experience in the childcare industry, which allows franchisees to lighten the learning curve that is usually part of the starting of your business. You can benefit from our proven experience and avoid costly mistakes.

The Inquiry - "Start with the Seed"
Submit the Initial Inquiry form so we can learn a bit about your interests and basic qualification to be an Always Believe in Children franchisee.
Discussion - "Add Dirt and Compost"
The initial dirt and compost is a discussion on the phone. This is a great way to start to get to know each other, outline our requirements and expectations, as well as answer your key questions. If we both agree it’s worth further efforts, we’ll send out an initial package of information and ask that you complete the Franchise Application.
Franchise Application - "The First Watering"
The Franchise Application allows Always Believe in Children, to verify that you are a viable franchise candidate. In addition to a general background check, given the nature of our business, we also perform an FBI criminal background investigation and credit check as well. If your application is approved, a Discovery Day will be set up for you to visit our Always Believe in Children corporate office.
Discovery Day’s - "A Day of Full Sun" in Finksburg, MD
You’ll visit the Always Believe in Children corporate office, located in Finksburg, Maryland. You’ll come for a day, alone or possibly with other potential franchisees. You will observe a few ABC Care Centers, learn more about our business, and participate in Q &A session. We will discuss Franchisee and Franchisor responsibilities, your personal qualification and business objectives. You will also have the opportunity to meet the members of our executive team, who provide training and support our franchisees. Neither payment nor a commitment is required of you at this time.
"Taking Root"
You’ll typically leave Discovery Day with a FDD document for consideration. There is a legally required 14 day waiting period before you can sign an agreement. During this waiting period, feel free to keep the communication open by voicing concerns and questions. We want to make sure you are 100% comfortable before committing to our franchise.
Training - "A Good Dose of Fertilizer"
You will receive five days (40 hours) of training at the Always Believe in Children corporate office. This is the time you will sign the Franchise. This full week of training by our Executive Team is the beginning of the exciting aspect of creating and opening your new center! This is a full week of "growing" your own business!
Ongoing Support - "Lots More Gardening Fun"
Always Believe in Children Executive Team personnel are available to you by phone, email and fax. We’ll be there to answer questions, offer advice recommendations as needed to ensure you are a successful center.
